All About Members Meetings....

Once a month the Phoenix Events & Adventures Club has an event where we get together to discuss upcoming events that are on the calendar, go over events that the members want to see ON the calendar and then to discuss any of the Club Wide Trips (international and stateside) that are coming up! These Member Meetings are great in that everyone has the opportunity to talk about what they want to see on the calendar in way of events!

Phoenix is HUGE and with so many cool places to check out, events happening throughout The Valley – throughout the year, it’s great to hear directly from club members and what they’re most interested going and doing together!  From an Event Managers perspective, I’m most interested in what the members want to go and do, it’s their club! As always, event ideas and suggestions can be emailed in, but it’s always great to discuss them as a large group!

Checking Out Local Brunch Spots!

Once and sometimes twice a month, the Event & Adventures Crew likes to check out the local breakfast/lunch joints throughout The Valley.  From upscale restaurants serving endless mimosas, to hole-in-the-wall locations that create delicious masterpieces in their own right, we are constantly in pursuit of the best brunch around!  

Phoenix has plenty of well renowned restaurants, and even more hidden gems serving up breakfast and lunch that has us finding our new “favorite spot”, monthly!  Depending on what you’re interested in, you’re sure to see it on the calendar eventually – and suggestions are always welcome!  

Going out for brunch is always a great way to start ones day, as we get to meet other members, talk about the weekend’s events and anything else that might be going on! This Is The Time Of The Year To Get Outdoors!

This time of year in Arizona is great for outdoor events! While the rest of the country is being blanketed by snow, rain and single digit temperatures, we’re lucky to avoid any shoveling of snow and freezing weather all together! This past weekend, we took advantage of it by going out Saturday for a bike ride and Sunday for a hike!

What better way to start your weekend than to get a little bit of exercise with friends in the morning? There’s something about getting out into the fresh, crisp air, stretching your legs – whether it’s via peddling during a bike ride or hiking on a mountain!  And as most of you know, here in Arizona, we have to take advantage of this time of year, because summer will be here before you know it!  We have several hikes coming up this month, including a full moon hike! Now is the time to take advantage of getting out and hiking, without dealing with the heat! Events And Adventures Phoenix

Another Great New Years Eve!

New Year’s Eve with Events and Adventures was a blast!  It was great to see everyone all dressed up and ready to party! Like most women I have dresses that I love and never get to wear so there was no way I was passing up the opportunity to wear a little cocktail dress I bought in August!  It’s been collecting dust for way too long! 

The location was great, in Old Town Scottsdale and between the food, cocktails and dancing,  the night flew by!  There were great deals on rooms too, which was good because the dancing went on until 3am!  I loved my “swag bag” full of goodies, especially the glasses and vitamins for the next day.  I can’t believe I stayed out so late, I felt like a teenager again! Having The Time Of Their Lives, Doing Things They Normally Wouldn’t Do!

Working for Events & Adventures has been quite rewarding over the last several months.  When I’m able to attend events in the evening and on the weekends, I love meeting up and seeing the members that I’ve personally signed up.  It’s rewarding for a couple of different reasons.  When I first meet and interview with potential members, not all of them, but many of them can be shy, quiet and reserved.  So when I see them out and about, socializing and having a great time, I feel like I’ve done my job!  

They are having the time of their lives, doing things they normally wouldn’t do.  From playing volleyball to learning new dance moves, going to local live music joints, to playing games and mingling while wearing the ugliest Christmas sweater they could find!  Witnessing all of this first hand, member smiling, laughing and cutting loose, means the world to me! Opening hearts and changing people’s lives is the best feeling in the world. Events And Adventures Phoenix

Monday.....Monday.......

Monday does not seem to be anyone’s favorite day around here, and for several reasons. F.O.U.R. more days of work. Events & Adventures has found a solution to the Monday Blues.  We have tried to make Monday evenings a little more enjoyable by doing something easy going, fun and something that everyone can participate in. Sometimes knowing that you don’t have cook dinner on a Monday night just might make your day a little bit brighter.  Knowing that you’re meeting up with friends is always a good thing too!  This past Monday we met up for a bit of mingling, along with some pretty amazing food and drinks at The Blind Pig.  With rave reviews of what The Blind Pig has to offer, we were all happy with our meals, their friendly service and the opportunity to just kick back and relax.   Instead of rushing home and trying to find something to throw together, we let the professionals take care of it for us while we enjoyed an easy going evening to close out our hectic Monday! Flying Through The Air......

Flying through the air is one of the most exhilarating and scary feelings I’ve ever felt! A few weeks ago, I decided to take the chance and signed up for the Saturday morning Trapeze 101 class, not knowing what I was getting myself into! I think everyone who signed up was in the same boat though; as we were all excited out of our minds!  All I can say is that If you like a challenge with a “scary” THRILL then this is an event I would recommend for you!

Our group was given basic instruction, pointers by trained trapeze team, and plenty of support by the members watching on the ground! The trapeze team has incredible ability and is something to see in person if you haven’t! We then each took flying through the air, thankful for the net below! This is definitely something I would sign up for again and would recommend to anyone! Events And Adventures Phoenix
