What To Do On A Monday Night?

Sometimes an easy going event is just what’s needed on a Monday night. Heading somewhere where we can hang out and get to know other members, but where there is something interactive to do as well.  This past Monday evening we headed over to The Yard at the Culinary Drop Out. We were about 30 strong and had a total blast, and we ended up closing out the place at the end of the night!

Not only is the area large and roomy with plenty of seating, but there’s tons to do. Our group played everything from foosball, corn hold, to ping pong and shuffle board! Anyone who didn’t grab dinner before coming out for the evening had a great selection of appetizers, dinner options and of course, plenty of cold drinks to satisfy whatever you might be craving. It was a great way to end a hectic Monday, by attending an easy going event, meeting new members and making new friends, pressure free! Events And Adventures Phoenix

Another Great New Years Eve!

New Year’s Eve with Events and Adventures was a blast!  It was great to see everyone all dressed up and ready to party! Like most women I have dresses that I love and never get to wear so there was no way I was passing up the opportunity to wear a little cocktail dress I bought in August!  It’s been collecting dust for way too long! 

The location was great, in Old Town Scottsdale and between the food, cocktails and dancing,  the night flew by!  There were great deals on rooms too, which was good because the dancing went on until 3am!  I loved my “swag bag” full of goodies, especially the glasses and vitamins for the next day.  I can’t believe I stayed out so late, I felt like a teenager again! Fred Astaire Dancing!

One of the most popular events here at Events & Adventures is anywhere where we get instruction on proper dance steps and moves! One of our favorite places to go is the Fred Astaire Dance Studio where the instructors are plentiful, music and dance partners are great and where we all feel comfortable putting to use the step-by-step instruction we received for the evening!  

We had such a great time a few months ago, that we decided to go check it out again in a new location! Between foxtrot, waltz, and several other dances, the options are endless! This  event is one of the best ways to meet other members as we have the opportunity to dance with one another throughout the evening! This is an event not to be missed! Doing the Cha Cha!

Looking back, attending events that “get you out of your shell” or events that you normally would NEVER do on your own are some of the best events to attend! For example, most of us are not the best dancers out there – but that doesn’t mean we can’t be taught how to ‘cut a rug, how to two-step, or just plain’ol how to ‘drop it like it’s hot’!

One of the best events that we do here at Events & Adventures is when the group goes out to learn a new dance! We’ve done a lot of country two-stepp’in lately and that’s been a hit!  So to get us out of our shell even more, we’re heading south of the boarder, with the Latin dominate Cha-Cha dance!  Ayi ayi ayi!  This fast, rhythmic ballroom dance from Latin-American has a basic pattern of three steps and a shuffle – easy as 1, 2, and 3! So guys, this is as easy as it gets ;)

The best part? With some great instruction, you’ll not only learn something you thought you might have never of learned and you’ll do it with an awesome group of people, making some great memories!

Live Music with the E & A Crew!

There’s something about listening to live music that can get your feet a tap’in, hips a sway’in and head bouncing to the beat! Some of the most enjoyable moments with the Events & Adventures Crew have been made while enjoying live music!

Some of our favorite memories have been at Big Bang – where we’ve listened to amazing live piano performances, where we enjoyed singing our guts out, requesting our favorite songs and showing off our dance moves in front of large crowds! Another E & A favorite around here is when we head out to getting our “boot- scootin-boogie” on as we’ve enjoy several live bands and fun country dance instruction! We’re getting really good at these dance moves – keep an eye out for more country dancing coming up!
